I bought the 'Star-12' karaoke system for home use- it's pretty simple to use. You connect the power at the mains, plug in your microphone and it's ready to start using! You can play music from sound cards but i use for it from my USB stick or sometimes use my laptop!
The system has a 5-band equaliser and is 1200 Watts. The microphone is wireless and it has two 12 inch bass drivers. It has a retracable antenna, dynamic range of 90B and anti interference technology.
I think the system is pretty good for home use- such as parties with family and friends. I think at a push medium sized venues like a bar. I wouldn't say this is the most professional PA system to use- i definitely would say this system is more geared towards social/fun use than professional use. But for the price that you pay (around £130) you cannot complain for what you get with this product.
You can monitor and adjust the microphone volume, you can add echo and reverb effects , bass and treble, frequency and master volume mix. The system is a combined weight of 15.5 so it's quite heavy. The microphones weigh approximately 170 g per piece.
If you want decent sized PA system- at an affordable cost i would recommend this product. I personally find its great for karaoke- and you could probably use this in small venues as a DJ and karaoke host- but there are better quality PA systems at higher cost.
