This is not likely to be of much interest to the majority of "Doo-ers" but even the younger ones might like to keep this in mind for when the hands start to get painful. About 6 months ago, I came across a reference to MSM Cream and decided to investigate. I have used this pretty well every day since and the results are little short of miraculous. My hands are so much less painful now. The process is a slow one though it can probably be accelerated by using the cream more than my once a day at bedtime. Nothing much happens for the first few weeks, but then you begin to detect changes in the finger joints. For a day or so, each one actually gets slightly more painful, but as this subsides, the real change becomes noticeable. The one joint which has been most resistant is the basal joint on my left thumb but now even this is easing. The active ingredients include organic sulphur and apple cider vinegar. The cream is available from www.yinyang.co.uk (with whom I have no link) at £14.50 a tub of 200ml including VAT and postage. I haven't tried to get it on the NHS but I would think it unlikely. The only other thing I take is a 15ml spoonful of cod liver oil each morning, so that could have a bearing, but I am finding that if my thumb joint gets sore during the day, a little MSM Cream rubbed on it helps. STOP PRESS - I have just received the new prices for 2001 - this product is going up to £17.50!! Guess who's going to lay in a stock! STOP PRESS (again)- They have changed the packaging and now you get 250ml for £17.50 instead of 200ml. They have replaced the rather awkward pot with a plastic bottle with a pump.
