Nurofen is another tablet that is always kept in our medicine cabinet. Nurofen do tend to be more expsensive than supermarket branded tablets however we have folund that they are often better on stronger pain. The tablets cost around £3.50 for a pack of 24 although you can get smaller packs of 12 and 16 in supermarkets you have to get the bigger pack from a chemist.
The tablets come packaged in a silver box with the Nurofen across in big red lettering, the logo for nurofen is a yellow circle in a orange circle in a red circle and this stands out really well against the silver background. It is stated on the box that these contain 200mg of ibuprofen and that these tablets are easy to swallow and provide fast effective relief.
It is stated on the box that these tablets can be used for the following,
*cold and flu symptoms
The tablets contain 200mg of Ibuprofen, are gluten and lactiose free and are suitable for vegetarians.
You will find these tablets are housed in plastic strips which are backed with foil, to use the tablets you simply push the tablet on the plastci side and it will pop through the foil at the back, be careful to have your hand ready to catch the tabelt as sometimes they do fly out of the packet. You can take 1 or 2 of these tablets every 4 hours but you mustn't take any more than 6 tablets in 24 hours so it is generally a better idea to use one tablet at a time and keep the pain killing effects going for longer.
The tablets have a silky coating making them easy to swallow which is a big deal for my husband although I am not quite so bothered, the tablets cost more than supermarket versions but I have had really bad back pain for a while now and have been taking these when it gets really bad which they do really help with. I would recommend using supermarket brands when the pain isn't climb the walls bad but these do seem to work better when the pain does get that bad.
I would recommend the tablets for your medicine cabinet but the price means that I would really only recommend taking them for severe pain.
Summary: Helps my back pain
