Advantages: Cheap for what it is, does warm the skin
Disadvantages: Doesn't work for me
One thing I am very used to in my life is aches and pains. I suffer with M.E have a spine condition and constantly suffer with pain in my lower back and achilles heal. I have had medication from the Dr and so on, I thought I had tried every freeze and heat spray on the market til I spotted this one the other week in my local Tesco store retailing at £2.35 for a 35g tube and instantly I decided to buy and try it just in case it worked!
Well the tube and the box look pretty much the same in appearance with being told what it is and who it is by on it, how to use it and so on, inside the box there is also a leaflet that gives us yet more infomration and warnings and so on and of course contact details for Tesco are listed.
This is designed to be used on of course aches and pains such as back aches, sprains and so on and its an external to use product only. We are told to use 10-40mm of the gel per application, 2-3 times a day and of course if you want to use paracetamol or whatever as well you can.
I apply this to my heel and to my back in the main. I use a thin layer as suggested and the thing I hate about this is the fragrance. Its really highly medicated in smell and what I can only describe as overpowering, though to be fair like a lot of products are such as this and so I do like to open a window when I apply it and as soon as I have I wash my hands.
This takes a minute or so to warm up and when it does its rather warm though not too hot and it dries into my skin very quickly indeed. The smell however lingers on me for hours so I only use this when I'm staying indoors and this warms my skin for only a few minutes.
Does It Work?:
It does give the muscles a nice warm up which I can see being helpful for anyone with a gym related injury for me though no it doesn't. I can still feel the pain through my warm skin and the effects of the warmth do nothing good for me in the long term either.
I don't like the smell on me or in my home and sadly like many other products such as this have personally found it not very good for me and my pains. Maybe on not too severe issues this could be helpful but not sadly in my case!
Only available in Tesco stores and from Tesco.com
