Gas & Air (Entonox) ... ve got two lovely little boys and had a normal delivery with both of them. My first was six weeks early.. My water s broke early one morning, contractions never started but they could only wait for it to happen naturally for a day or two because of the risk of infection. Well, it didn t which meant I had to be induced. This was completely unnatural, the pain was unbelievably intense. The first form of pain relief I turned to was gas & air (entonox), it was incredibly helpful in distracting me from the pain. However, as my contractions became increasingly stronger I needed stronger forms of pain relief. With my second, I was induced once again. However, it was o... Coping with Colic Babies ... I had my baby I didn t know a thing about colic. I had heard of it but didn t know what it was or how it would affect my husband and I should our baby suffer from it. During antenatal we were taught lots of labour tips and that was about all, the issue of colic was never brought up which now I think it should have been. Colic really affected us as a family and had we been prepared for it before our baby arrived we may not have been so panicked and would have known what to do. I think it should be addressed in antenatal classes so that other new mums will be able to recognise it and not rush off down to A&E like many do. === what is colic? === Colic can cause ... Breastfeeding in General ... feeding has many benefits for both mother and baby and at the moment the bonuses of this way of feeding your baby is trying to be pushed by the health system to become more popular. At the moment bottle feeding dominates the feeding of babies and this trying to be turned around by the government and the health care system.
