Baby Monitors in General

Newest Review: ... .If you are out of the baby's room, the portable Parents' Unit (Sound Monitor) will pick up the alarm as well as other nursery sounds which is great as we are up another set of stairs. It can plug in to a wall socket with a ok lenth of wire and it can be battry powered great if your out in the garden. I think the range is quite good on this and has two frequencys A and B ,one slight problem we had (probley get this with most monitors???) is we think we could here the other baby across the road sometimes on the monitor but then we just change to a diffrent setting. In my mind this monitor but me at a slighter ease leaving my son on his own ... more

BABY MONITOR - ANGEL CARE BABY MONITOR Movement Sensor with Sound Baby Monitor I got this for my son when we put him in his own room at 9 months as he was just to big for his basket and with such a small room no room for his cot. And to me this was a massive weight of my shoulders having this bit of kit! The baby monitor detects your baby's slightest breathing movements. If your baby goes absolutely still for 20 seconds, the Sensor Pad sends a signal to the Nursery Unit which sounds an alarm alerting you to check your baby , this only happened once and that was because he was at the far end of the cot hanging out of the bars fast asleep i think he was ...  Read the complete review

When we learned that we were expecting our first child we wrote a list of all the things we thought that we would need. Top of the list was a baby monitor !! The onley trouble is that there are so many to choose from on the market. As it turned out my friend gave us her old analogue baby monitor. When my son was born we used it for a while but found that the interfearance was so bad that we could hardly hear when our baby was crying. So we ditched this old fashioned monitor for a more modern digital one. We got the best from the selection available in Boots at the time, which happened to be a BT baby monitor. It was priced at around £79.99 which is expensive but we had ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Checking your baby is ok without having to get up... GREAT! ... (511 words)

Baby Monitors, what would we do without them!! I was over the moon when I was given my baby monitor a a present from my friends for my childs birth. I was going to be a first time mother and had absolutley no idea of what to do or expect but i was, as all mothers are , worried about cot death. The baby monitor I own in concept is really good. The monitor itself is quite large compared to the latest models which are flat screen, however mine is more like an old shaped TV on a smaller scale. The Tv is black and white and allows you to be able to watch your child to ensure they are OK. The monitor itself is quite bulky and heavy and is awkward to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Baby Monitors in General: All the important features (147 words)

Having spent considerable time trying to find all the features I required in one monitor at last I have found the Tomy Walkabout Premier Digital. It has all the standard features of a baby monitor plus: - a recharging stand for the portable parent unit - digital tranmission - baby's room temperature display on both units with alarm on parent unit It does cost slightly more than most other monitors I have seen, but there are no others which combine all these features. I paid £63.95 at the Chesterfield Babycare Centre (01246 454498) - the cheapest I have seen on-line is £69 at www.bootswellbeing.com. It is considerably cheaper than the Philips ...  Read the complete review
