Baby stages in the first year (Baby Stages in general)
Member Name: dustmad
Advantages: watching them grow and develop Disadvantages: not getting much sleep When I had my first baby in 2007 I was worried to death by the prospect of not knowing what the hell to expect in the next year ahead of me. As it turned out I should not have worried as the first year of your babies life is the best year by far. My boy is aged 14 months now, and becoming a real handful. I think the first stage you go through is the first week of being home from hospital. The transition from being just a couple, to having this little bundle to contend with. The first night is terrifing, but it does get better. As you get more confident at what you are doing, you start to enjoy each stage of your babies developement. The second stage for me was when he smiled for the first time which was at around 5 weeks old. Then up until the age of about 3 months old, they don't really do much except sleep alot and eat alot. 4 months to 6 months was a lovely stage when you start to introduce them to food. At 7 months he started to sit up and roll over. Then started to crawl at 8 months old. By 10 months he was up walking, and now he is 14 months he is running around. It all goes far too quickly and you soon can't ever remember them being a tiny baby. Enjoy it while it lasts. Summary: Your growing child develops so quickly in their first year. |
