Premium Review Bed Wetting - It Takes Time To Sort It (278 words)

Mt daughter now five has a recurring problem with bed wetting and I have to say that at first it was of some concern to me but now for the most part we have got it under control. I have found that there are certain things that will trigger it and if we can combat them then I'm sure that we can overcome it. Some people say don't give them drinks after a certain time before bed and then it wont happen. I have found personally that in her case it is more a atmospheic problem. If it is clod at all then her bladder becomes weak and so should this happen at night I find that as she is a very deep sleeper that she doesn't always realise what she is doing. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bed Wetting: Wet Bed? Not in my house (432 words)

My son, who is now six, has always always wet the bed. He did also dribble or have accidents until he started school last year. This did not bother me perhaps as much as it should have, I put pull ups on him at night, and waited it for it to stop. It was never an issue in our house, he had friends round to stay, and I would like to think had no embarressment over this at all. However, sometimes the problem does need attention. I got a call from the school nurse earlier this year, and she suggested an appointment at our local hospital. I was very alarmed, and a bit scared about how they were going to tackle this--my son was more bothered he wouldn't be able to ...  Read the complete review

I found that bedwetting was never a problme for my daughter and I was very fortunate in this but it was a different story with my son. My son is now 5 but still wets the bed probably a couple of times a month. I have found that one of the best ways to tackle this is to ensure that your child doesn't have a huge drink just before the go to bed, when you go to bed yourself wake them up and make them go to the toilet and put them back to bed (this is a good tactic to use if your child regularly wets the bed) I bought a beed sheet with plastic backing from Mothercare that covers the top of the sheet on the bed so if they do wet, it saves you having to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bed Wetting: How can hormones cause bed wetting? (466 words)

My daughter is six and she still wets the bed!!! I know I'm not alone out there, but I did feel alone until I researched the subject fairly deeply. Most kids will wet the bed at some point in their lives. My little girl was dry every night from the age of two and a half for a year, until one night she wet the bed. Not a problem, only she carried on wetting the bed every night for almost two years. I found it so hard sometimes not to shout at her, and I admit on a couple of occasions I did shout at her and felt very guilty afterwards. I was convinced she was doing it on purpose at one point, which was very unfair of me. We ...  Read the complete review
