Mt daughter now five has a recurring problem with bed wetting and I have to say that at first it was of some concern to me but now for the most part we have got it under control. I have found that there are certain things that will trigger it and if we can combat them then I'm sure that we can overcome it.

Some people say don't give them drinks after a certain time before bed and then it wont happen. I have found personally that in her case it is more a atmospheic problem. If it is clod at all then her bladder becomes weak and so should this happen at night I find that as she is a very deep sleeper that she doesn't always realise what she is doing.

I now try and get her up when I go to my bed to go to the toilet and if I can't get her up or she wont go then I will put on pull ups. But only if I feel a chill in the air as this is predominately when it happens.

We have been to the doctor as she is prone to urine infections and we thought this may be what was causing.

In my opinion the best way to tackle the issue is not to base it on how other people deal with it but on an individual basis and as a parent try not to be hard on the child as that will make it worse as emotional upset can also make it worse.

This is my look on the issue.
