Being a parent is the best thing in the world, no question about it. When my wife first told that she was pregnant with our first child, was was really scared, but then after getting just to the idea, I started to become reallt excitement. Being a parent is the best job in the world, and I wouldnt go back and change anything. I am now a parent of two boys, who I love to pieces, and now my wife is pregnant with a girl, so I am going to get the best of both worlds.


Of course being a parent is hard, and you have to work at it. All the sleepness nights, the screaming, the nappy changing, these are all things that a parent must do, and yes it is stressful, but it is well worth it. The thing that I find the best about being a parent is teaching them how to be good people. That is what a parent must do, teach their kids how to be respectful to everyone, and make sure that they grow up to be the best people that they can be.


At the minute my kids are in secondary school, so they are under so much pressure, so now it is my role to be there when they come home, and try and detatch them as much as possible. My role as a parent is also being a protector. That is what you must do, protect your kids, and I would lay my own life on the line if my children were in any kind of harm. There is also the fun side of being a parent, the side where you get to see your kids grow, and believe me, they grow so much. Being a parent also has a downside, you be will a taxi driver for the first 18 years of their life.
