Newest Review: ... for different people but have a look at some of the reviews to see which type might suit you best - I think go for atleast 3 packs) and also buy 2 packs of 6 washables. After you have had the baby, particularly if this is your first (because the whirlwind of postnatal days and nights are a shocker!) you probably will not have the time or inclination to keep up with washing your pads - just use disposables for these intense weeks and when you are back on your feet move on to the washables. Washables are a lot cheaper (with disposables think about getting through up to 10 in a 24 hour period) and they are also a lot more eco friendly. Some... more

Premium Review Breast Pads: An essential not a luxury (190 words)

Don't even go there without using breast pads! These are an absolute must. My advice is (if you are genuinely considering breast feeding) but a load of disposables (different types work for different people but have a look at some of the reviews to see which type might suit you best - I think go for atleast 3 packs) and also buy 2 packs of 6 washables. After you have had the baby, particularly if this is your first (because the whirlwind of postnatal days and nights are a shocker!) you probably will not have the time or inclination to keep up with washing your pads - just use disposables for these intense weeks and when you are back on your feet move on to the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Breast pads are essential (184 words)

When I had my first baby I was lucky enough to be able to breast feed my baby. He took really well to it , so I didn't need to use my breast pads for a while. My baby was a big boy weighing 9lb 15oz , and was equally as hungry. He was draining the milk really well for the first 5 weeks , and then my milk was not enough for him so I put him onto formula feeds at that point. I wondered how long it would take for the breast pads to be needed , and it wasn't long at all. Whether you plan to breast feed or not you will need to buy yourself some breast pads. It takes a little while for your milk to dry up. It took about a week for me, but everyone is different. It is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Breast Pads: a must for any expectant mum (367 words)

I would recomend buying a packet of these to every expectant mother weather you intend to breast feed or not. Firstly for any one who doesnt know a breast pad is a absorbant pad used inside your bra to absorb any leakage of breast milk, you can buy disposable or washable breast pads. I have tryed both, the washable breast pads cost me around £5 for a pack of 4 pads and the disposable ones cost me £2 for a pack of 20. You will need these weather you decide to breast feed or not as you choosing not to breast feed doesnt mean that your breasts wont produce milk in the first few days so there will still be leaks untill your milk has dryed ...  Read the complete review

Boots best for leaking boobs (79 words)

I'd recommend Boots washable breast pads. They're quite cheap (£4.99 for 6), comfy and absorbent. I've got relatively small breasts and they are just right. Much better than disposable ones which get sweaty, don't last long and are essentially money wasted. (But if you have to get disposables, I preferred Tesco over Sainsburys). Buy 2 packs though, 6 isn't enough. They're softer after a wash too and come with a bag to stick in the washing machine. I haven't tried any other ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Breast Pads: How to stop a geyser in his tracks! (805 words)

The arrival of a new baby is a momentous time. As a new mother you will have gone through many body changes and experiences and they don't end with the birth. If like me, you decide to breastfeed and, like me, you have a tendancy to over-produce that amazing elixir of life, breast pads will be your friends! Even if you don't decide to feed yourself, breast pads may still be very useful in the early days as your milk comes in and before it dries. I never gave much thought to breast pads pre-birth. I had a couple of free samples from some of the many "mum to be" packs and that was that. However, little did I know, these round discs were soon to be ...  Read the complete review
