big babys gave me no choice (Caesarean Section)
Member Name: ginger69
Advantages: better for people who are having large babies, you are totally pain free Disadvantages: you are put out of action for a little while, you don't get to go through the pleasures of natural child birth
I had my first two children naturaly sort of with a bit of help from forceps and something that just looked like a sink plunger. You see my children were big and getting bigger with each one i had they range from 8lb 5oz to 10lb 11oz so the last two i had to have a caesarean, i was a little nervous especially when i had that needle stuck in my back my blood preasure dropped so they gave me something to raise it, it took all of about half an hour for them to do the operation the most inconvinent part was not being able to move around afterward and feeling hepless for the next few days as it was hard to move around for fear of splitting open my stiches or one of the kids catching them accidentally. Everything was o.k and i had no problems with the operation, i know that its scary but sometimes the scariest option is the safest option, it was in my case i would never have survived going through natural birth with the last two. I was more comfortable knowing that my partner was able to be there with me and hold my hand, i just lay back chatting while the doctors got on and done what had to be done. I think midwifes could be a bit more simpathetic when you can't move around much after having an operation they do like to encourage you to get out of bed almost as soon as you seem to get settled in to their wards.
