Oh the teen years !! Deep joy - not !! I have a step son that is aged 12 , and although he doesn't act his age ( he is immature for his age ) , he is unfortunately going through the teen years already. No one told his hormones that he is not mature enough to be going through the change yet. He comes to us every weekend , and feels settled at our house , but it does not take long for the tutting, under breath comments and sulking to take place. Also the attention seeking is something I have real trouble dealing with. I do try to sympathise as I remember how I felt going through that stage of my life. Luckily he has not turned into a hoody thug , as alot of the teenagers these days seem to. If only there were a manual for how to handle a teenager , it would be a best seller!!

Summary: How on earth do parents cope with teenagers?
