Advantages: easy access for breast feeding

Disadvantages: dont need if bottle feeding

When contemplating what to put in your hospital bag one of the most important questions most expectant mothers wouldnt think of is what type of nighty, at the time i just thought a nightly was a nightly but i was wrong.

Depending on weather you intend to bottle or breast feed will determin what sort of nighty you will be best buying.

Obviously bottle feeding you can have any type of nighty you choose but if you intend to breast feed a nightly with buttons on the front will make feeding your baby a lot easier as you will be able to undo the top couple of buttons to feed baby rather than having to lift your nighty up giving you a lot more privacy and making you a lot more comfortable at feeding times, i would also suggest a darker coloured material if possible as you will have a few leaks over the first few days and darker colours wont stain as easily as light colours

I also wouldnt advise buying your nighty from baby shops like mothercare as they are very expensive, places like matalan always have a nice range at affordable prices because the likely hood of it still fitting you a few weeks after baby is born is very unlikely so dont pay expensive.

Summary: worth thinking about before you pack your bag
