i had a fab experience of having my twins in hospital (Hospital Births)

Advantages: in safe hands, medical attention at hand

Disadvantages: i guess ur not in the comfort of your own home

To say the least my hospital birth was fantastic, although i do understand that not everyones is the same. I had the most fantastic team looking after me and my midwife was lovely. i didnt really have a choice of weither i wanted a homebirth or hospital one as i was having twins so at much more risk however had i been able to choose i think i would have gone with the safer option of having medical staff on hand if they were needed. I felt so much in control and verything was talked through with me which really put me at ease, just to add it was my first pregnancy so i didnt really know what to expect. But i ended up having to go to theatre for forceps as the first baby wouldnt trun but even then i wasnt afraid and really felt safe. it was the most amazing experience of my life and i would love to do it again. It will be different for every hopsital i guess it depends on the team working with you and how busy they are etc maybe i got a lot mroe support because there were 2 and id to be monitored closely but it was a great experience for me.

Summary: i would do it all over again although i wouldnt not have a homebirth that must be a nice experience
