Hospital births (Hospital Births)
Member Name: natalieboo
Advantages: doctors on hand incase of emergency Disadvantages: staffing not the best I had a hospital birth as at 38 weeks they said my little boy was going to be over 10lb so they took me into hospital and exactly 40 weeks to induce me, as they were so busy they ended up inducing me over 3 days which seemed a very long drawn out process. Once I was in labour I had a lovely midwife and she was really helpful, as I had meconium in my waters I had to be attached to a machine to monitor the babies heart rate and on a couple of occasions it dropped so it was very good to have doctors on hand to check the baby over. After being in labour for 13 hours I was rushed in to theatre to have an emergency c section, my little boy had the cord wrapped around his neck so I am very grateful I was in hospital as my little boy wouldn't be here if I wasn't. The wards were often understaffed I really noticed this as we had to stay in for a week but the midwifes really tried their best to help and offer you the support you needed. I will definitely be having any future babies in a hospital as problems can occur. Summary: I would recommend a hospital birth |
