Advantages: had baby girl at end of it

Disadvantages: was under staffed

my hospital birth was well.... not very good the first part of my pregnancy was brillant but towards the end thats when things didnt go to plan i ended up going back and forths to hospital half hour away as didnt feel lil 1 move and was monitored and then sent home around 39 weeks i had bleeding and they wanted to check me out as baby wasnt moving again! to cut long story short i was kept in hostpial when i was 40wks + 4 with high blood pressure the first night they had hardly any midwifes on shift i had no pillows and had to wait for a bed i was induced the next day and was monitored constantly went to bed and my back waters broke when i ran the buzzer no1 came half hour later i ended up getting out of bed just to find and tell them what had happened i had my front waters broke at 6am and labour started at 8.35am i was on a drip so couldnt move i had a fantastic student midwife she was lovely she was with me every step of the way along with my partner i had so many people come in and out of my delivery room i didnt know who any one was which i think they should of told me i was in labour for 6 hours must of took them hour to get the epidural right before been rushed to theatre for an emergency csection i threw up everywere while on the table i ended up giving birth to a 9lb 6oz baby girl i lost 1500l of blood i couldnt get to hold her for the first 4 hours i had sick in my hair for 8 hours before midwifes come and cleaned me i had staples in and the next day midwife just pulled one out with pair tweezers i had sleep sitting up no one would help was realy hot on the ward was in hospital for 6days before been alowed to go home there was no fans i couldnt have bath or shower for 3 days then to finish it off they threw away my lil girls first sleepsuit and vest and never got them back even tho they were understaffed i stil think they could of done better
