Hospitals are definatly the way to go!! (Hospital Births)

Advantages: Help is there if there's an emergency Disadvantages: Partners have to go home, and the first night with a baby is scary!!
Having only had my son four months ago his birth is still extremely clear in my mind (and probably always will be!). I had been told all the way through my pregnancy that my baby would be big so when my waters broke at 1am in the morning almost three weeks early I was almost expecting it. I always imagined that I would be in a complete panic when the big day arrived however both me and my other half were surprisingly calm. Due to having been tested positive with Strep B (and infection that can effect Baby) during my pregnancy I was told to go straight to the hospital as soon as my waters broke. I was having no pain at the time so it was a pleasant journey to hospital and I almost expected to be sent home again! Summary: Hospitals definatly have there benefits for giving birth and my birth experience was fantastic. |
