Advantages: The care

Throughout her pregancy, my wife always wanted a home birth, I dont know why, and to be quite honest, I didnt really understand her reasons for it. However, there were complications and there was no choice but to have a hospital birth, which is what I suggested all along. Personally, I wanted my wife to have a hospital birth, they are a must safer option, and there are always people there in case something were to go wrong. When we arrived at the hospital, we were treated like royalty and given all the care both of us needed, and more importantly, the care that my wife needed.


We didnt have to wait, as because my wife went into labour 6 weeks early so she went straight into the delivery room. She was there for a grueling 17 hours, and even though she said she didnt want any drugs, she had to as she was in so much pain. The doctors didnt push this idea, but they recommended that it was the best option. After the delivery, our baby was put into the special baby unit, and my wife was given the all clear and was allowed to go home. We spent the best part of 2 weeks at hospital, and while there we were cared for brilliantly, and always updated by the doctors on the condition of our son. It isnt just the safe option, but I think that the doctors and nurses give it a personal touch, and treat case individually, and like its just there job. They made us all feel special.
