Advantages: It's wonderful!
Disadvantages: It can break your heart.
No doubt, we live in a technical, dehumanised world, but there will always be people who shower each other with flowers, run after heart-shaped butterflies and confess their deep-felt devotion in the smooth company of moon light. What makes them behave like fools? The first fool in this world was Adam who, because of his loneliness - the main reason for love - , decided to fall in love with Eve, the woman made out of his bone. This decision, though, was only partly his own, for Eve helped him a bit by stimulating his curiosity. She lured him with an apple; since her women (as well as men) have been quite inventive and imaginative in finding devices and tricks which arouse the interest of the person concerned. It is true that curiosity has a part in the game, it not only helps prevent boredom, but also adds charm and attraction to the old, never changing rules, yet, leaving out flirt, can curiosity help create real love? Perhaps yes, perhaps no, there’s no definite answer. Everyone has to try for themselves. Trying to find the answer, they will maybe behave just like the aforementioned ‘fool’, I’m sure, however, they will feel the happiest person under the sun. ___________________________ P.S: I found this text which I had to compose in an essay-writing course at uni (“Make it short, light and humorous”, the professor had said) in an old and dusty folder. I was a twenty-something then. A lot of water has flowed down the Neckar in Heidelberg in Germany where I wrote it, in between I’ve become a dooyooer among other things. I’ve got a brilliant idea (prove me wrong!), let’s do something for the community spirit and write on the topic ‘First Love’! Is there anybody out there who’s got nothing to say on the subject? No! I knew it. I expect such a vivid participation as for the category ‘Childhood Memories‘, th
e way you tackle the subject doesn’t matter, just tackle it! There is no category ‘First Love’ and I don’t want to wait until one is put up (items can be suggested again, do you know?), but I think ‘Juniors in general’ is just fine, use the words 'First Love' in your title and everybody will know what to expect. It doesn’t matter how you rate this op, write one yourself, that’s what matters!
