Ok this is it the sad but true fact we have to torture ourselves other the MMR. I have a beautiful sixteen month old daughter & I have to take this huge gamble. The government are saying it's safe & certain doctors are saying it's not. Confused I am!

We are supposed to have a health service that we can trust doctors that will help us but is that really the truth? How can the NHS print leaflets saying MMR is safe & the media bring us countless tales of sick children triggered by the MMR.
I thought long & hard about the MMR from the day I gave birth, my ex partner is against immunisation for children so I knew I would have to get this one right. I am very lucky to have a great Doctor & she listened to me & agreed to try & get the single measles vaccine for my daughter. She was turned down other Doctors telling her it is no longer licenced & refused to supply it. Then she left the choice up to me.
On Monday afternoon I sat in the Doctors waiting room nearly in tears. Am i sentancing my child? This is the hardest decision I have ever had to make & did I make the right one?
I know there will be many out there who think I made the wrong decision but I am sure there will be some who think I did the right thing. At the end of the day only time will tell.
I cant believe the government are forcing us to make these decisions why are we not given the choice? Tony Blair wont tell us if Leo had the MMR, Ken Livingstone has advised parents against it WHY?
Because parents have to make this agonising decision immunisation rates have gone down so now Doctors are warning of a measles epidemic. This is a vicious circle something has got to be done & fast. How many mothers have to make this choice & how many of them are making the wrong one?

Summary:
