why call it morning sickness (Morning Sickness)

Why on earth did anyone ever call this morning sickness, i bet there are millions of women out there just like me whos sickness due to pregnancy hadnt been taught how to tell the time so would apear at random times of the day for varying reasons.

After spending at least the first hour every morning after getting out of bed stairing at the bottom of the porcalean bowl in my bathroom my neighbour sugested ginger tea as it had helped her daughter wholst she was pregnant so on the afternoon feeling a little better off to my local herbal and vitamins shop i went, i got my herbal tea and hubby made me a cup the very next day before i got out of bed, it worked wanders, my miracle cure or so i thought untill i was walking down the high street shopping when all of a sudden i felt very sick, this happened a few times and it took me about a week to work out what was causing these sudden bouts of sickness, it was every time i walked past a pub, the smell of beer was making me sick. I never found a cure for this, it lasted all through my pregnancy and for a few months after.

I had a similar experiene with my second child except this time it was the smell of petrol on a garage that made me sick so i had to get a friend to take my car for petrol the whole time i was pregnant.

The cravings we experience during pregnancy are supposed to be our bodie telling us they are lacking in something contained in the item we are craving, if our cravings can be this clever why cant something tell our bodys to stop expellin everything we put into it to help the baby grow.

Morning sickness can be horendus, its not so much the being sick as the feelin sick constantly but luckily in most of us this does subside after the first few weeks and i no longer needed my herbal tea in the morning but i never found a cure for the smells that made me sick other than to avoid them.

Summary: i hate feeling sick
