Advantages: healthy sign in pregnancy

Disadvantages: Exhausting

I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks and felt perfectly fine. I actually remember saying to someone I wanted morning sickness as I had read it was a good sign. You should always be careful what you wish for
At seven weeks I got my wish. I didn't have morning sickness I had anytime of the night or day sickness.
I would wake up two to three times a night to be sick, I would wake up starving hungry but there was no point eating because it would just make me vomit.
I had the usual exhaustion of normal pregnancy but with getting up and down during the night I had no energy at all.
I spent hours trawling through books and the internet to find a cure. I tried different type of biscuits, having a drink and biscuit in bed before I got up, ginger and travel sickness bands. None of which helped.
When I was twenty weeks pregnant I got a sickness bug and ended up in hospital on a drip to rehydrate me but as I was still vomiting it took days. I was at one. Point having my vomit measured which was gross. I was given anti emetics but I hated them as I still felt sick but just wasn't.
Everyone kept telling me that it would end at the end of trimester one and that then I would blossom.
I continued through the pregnancy as it progressed my diet got smaller and smaller. I couldn't tolerate any diary (which included chocolate) so was taking calcium tablets and ended up on anti emetics once more during my pregnancy as I was getting dehydrated again and didn't want to end up in hospital again.
The last time I was sick was during my labour. As soon as I gave birth I was able to drink a cup of tea with milk something I had craved for months and had a sandwich which I knew I would be able to keep down at 5am. I got my beautiful boy and an end to my sickness in one glorious night.
I had a miserable 9 months but looking at my son made all those hours spent staring at the toilet bowl worth it.

Summary: a healthy sign but makes for a miserable pergnancy
