My son started nursery four years ago he has now left.When he first started he could not talk properley and was unable to play with other children.He started to see a speech theripst who taught him to talk properley. He went to nursery three days a week monday wednesday and friday from ten am until three thirty pm.At first he was very reluctant to leave my side and I had to stay with him for the first few days at nursery. They had set mealtimes dinner at eleven thirty and tea at three pm my son has always been a fussy eater yet at nursery he was a fantastic eater. They had lots of activaties such as playing with sand or water a book corner the child go off in to with an adult or alone to read a book a computer to stimulate the childs brain.They keep a personal file with all your childs favourites such as his/hers favourite toys books etc.They do english maths phsce and some other subjects they also keep inline with the national curriculem and have colour coded stickers for each subject.There is also a large play area with swings a play house and lots of grass they also have bikes the children to play with. When your child is getting ready to leave they prepare a report for your childs schools stating what your childs strenghs and weakness's are .You can read your childs personal file anytime you want. I would recommand an early years center or nursery to all parents.
