Here's just a suggestion as to what to do if you are rapidly approaching your due date and your baby is breech on the scans, as my son was. The tendency is for the midwives to immediately start talking about ECV (external something version?) which is a manual turning of the baby. Or they start to mention C-sections. ECV apparently isn't as bad as it may sound, but I really didn't fancy it, so this is just to let you know that there is an alternative.

I had had 6 months of morning sickness, and the only thing that had helped was acupuncture, so I contacted my local acupuncturist who told me that there's a very simple and effective procedure for turning breech babies which she'd just used on her sister. And it doesn't even involve needles. I asked my midwife, and she was Chinese so she thought it was the most natural idea in the world!

I went in, the acupuncturist burned a stick near each of my big toes. Yes, I know, bear with it. It's called a Moxi stick I think, that's certainly how you say it. She did each foot, it smelt a bit like a student party and we went home, thinking nothing had happened. That night Callum just gave a massive half turn in the womb! We went back 2 days later, repeated the process, and again that night another half turn. Next scan, he was head down and he stayed there (apparently with ECV they sometimes turn back)

a few pointers-
find a good acupuncturist (get advice from friends/family if possible) If you live in Lincolnshire, mine is in Main Ridge Boston!
make sure they're a member of a professional association
make sure they've actually done it before
consult your midwife - in some areas acupuncture is available on the NHS
prices vary - I think I paid about £10 per time

Good luck!
