Advantages: stop sun burn and heat stroke
childrens skin is a lot more sensative than ours to exposure to the sun light and will burn a lot easier, i have always used sun cream of a high factor on my children when the sun is out particularly if we are going out in the sun during the middle of the day.
Now that they are at school i apply sun cream to them every morning during this time of year even if it is raining in the morning as our weather is so unpredictable and the schools are not allowed to apply sun cream so will literaly let your child burn in the heat which is quite likely at dinner time as they all go out to play in the play ground at the hottest part of the day.
Boots have a fantastic range of sun creams specially designed for children, i find it easier to apply the spray on sun oil that doesnt need to be rubbed in and literally just spray the whole off my daughters before getting them dressed of a morning, you cant spray this onto there faces so i spray it onto my hands then rub it onto there faces.
I also think that it is very important for children to have sun hats at school with them aswell so have left one on each of my girls pegs as no matter how much sun cream you put on it wont stop the sun over heating there heads and giving then sun stroke.
Summary: make it part of your morning routine in the warmer weather
