Advantages: mothers using their children as a power tool
Disadvantages: unmarried fathers and their children
help, help. help.. why is the law always on the mothers side? my sons partner is addicted to the p.c. chat rooms and has been since last christmas. their 20mth old daughter is being bought up by my son. she spends 9-10 hours a day on the p.c. some days even more. when we visit she stays on it, her father gets the same treatment. my son does everything, cooking, cleaning, washing, taking my granddaughter out, getting up with her, putting her to bed, bathing her, basically all things you do when your a single parent.my sons partner has been out many times with her friends and she always sleeps over at theirs. she has just had a week end away, that turned into an extra nights stay of which she informed my son by text all this and more while she is off work with depression and has been for 8 weeks, but is not taking her medication. there is lots more but my argument is-- how come she has full parental control over their daughter ! she uses this all the time at my son constantly reminding him. she is doing just as she likes all the time. my son keeps quiet because he is terrified he will lose his daughter. i see my granddaughter 3-4 times a week and she is all her dad. i tried talking to my sons partner once but she went mad and told my son she would stop me seeing my granddaughter. what do we do??? reading this back it seems untrue that any one could use a child as a threat, it seems un real to believe that anyone spends 9-10 hrs a day on a p.c. this is all true, theirs more i could say but please some one just tell us their is a light at the end of this awful tunnel.

- 19/09/03 Obviously get him to see a solicitor, list all whats been happening and see what he says, if the woman is neglecting her child and is an unfot parent then obviously they will listen to him. Its not a foregone conclusion that the mother always automatically has all the power. |
