Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) (Special Care Baby Unit Advice)
Member Name: nay_money
Advantages: The staff are all angels and worth their weight in gold Disadvantages: none
My experience with SCBU was fortunately a good one. My daughter is 7 years old now but she was born 10 weeks prematurely. I had pre eclampsia and had to have an emergency C Section. I was asleep for this and when i came round my daughter was in SCBU in an incubator with wires every where. she started off breathing on her own, but later had to have oxygen. we were moved to a different hospital and after 2 days we were able to be moved back to our own local hospital. Summary: This place may look scary but it is there to help, and I and my family are forever grateful |
