Advantages: Everything

Disadvantages: You have to grow up quick.

I found out I was pregnant when I was 19/years old... I had only been with my boyfriend for 2/months when I got pregnant. We had already been discussing marriage (before I found out about the baby) but decided to up the date (from a 1/year engagement to a 1/month engagement!) and were married a month later (3/months into our relationship). Looking back, I thank God that my mother raised me right. She told me when I was very young that I should be careful about getting pregnant because a human is a human; and abortion is selfish. I had no desire - not even a brief thought - about killing my unborn daughter, and looking at our gorgeous 2-1/2 year old now... all I can say is "thank God". Two sisters have since followed and my marriage (now almost 3-1/2 years later) is stronger and better than ever.

I am not saying if you get pregnant you should get married... but I am happy everything in my life turned out the way it did. And with the uprise of teen-pregnancies in America - I feel less alone. Walking down the street I get *less* rude glances from strangers (me with my 3 daughters all under the age of 3)... and I see more mothers like me; growing up quick and being responsible parents. My husband is in the Military and that helps too - financially, anyhow.

My main point is; would you rather look back in your life and picture the child you WOULD have had? Your child, that in your *heart* you know you killed? Or would you like to look back and laugh over all the silly antics your child had that helped you become who you are today... and look to the future KNOWING your daughter, you son... will love you all the more for giving them the most fleeting, precious gift of all? LIFE.

Summary: It's worth it.
