Advantages: A beautiful daughter

Disadvantages: Not for everyone

I am a teen mum and yes we used protection but my daughter wanted to come through (excuse the pun) and me and my partner couldn't be happier, yeah you have to grow up quickly but then I didn't want to go out clubbing wasting my money on drink fags and even drugs in some cases I've never wanted to see the world etc., I've wanted to be a mum my whole life from when I was young id play with my dolly and pretend to be a mum I would play with my nephews and pretend they were mine, I mean having my daughter was the best feeling in the world unconditional love overwhelmed me when I went for scans saw my bump grow bigger and bigger (so much so I went 10 days overdue) Then she was placed in my arms I felt so love happiness all emotions in one.

Don't get me wrong there is bad times like when she's teething, when she wakes up in the night (although I was very lucky and my daughter has slept through since birth :) ), when you have no money to get things, I have bills just like any other mother out there I have food to buy electric to get, People see young mothers as stupid and immature because they didn't have a abortion or put up for adoption but then this was because they are able to make the decision to keep there unborn child! The just take the money from the government without a care in the world well no that's not right I am 17 I have a daughter I am engaged to HER father and we have been together nearly 3years my partner works full time and I'm a SAHM we are in a privately rented house that WE pay for, we don't claim anything apart from child benefit, I'm doing a diploma in child day care too so I'm not wasting my life like so many people say I have, a young mum can be just as good as a 30 year old women AGE IS A NUMBER NOTHING ELSE!

Us young mums and dads care for our children just as much as those that are older, in the 1950s people where having children even younger than I am and most of the teen mums out there yet you notice its mostly the older population that look at us with disgust and tut at us as we walk past.

I just want to put it out there that there is good and bad in all anyone can have a baby but it takes a mother to be a mum! Don't judge a book by its cover! x

Summary: Unconditional love

Great review, I couldn't agree with you more. My partner and I had our 1st baby when I was 19 - after 4 years together (having lived together for 2 of them) and still everyone thought it was a big mistake. Seven years later we're still together, have just had our 3rd child and couldn't be happier. Your age doesn't matter and neither does what anyone else thinks. Good luck to you and your family!

As below, the content is good but if the spelling and grammar was tidied up this would be a super review. I'm a SAHM too, but old enough to be YOUR Mum....age doesn't matter, you're right! Caroline xx

Nicely written, but if you don't mind me saying, your grammar and spelling let you down. Bet you're a smashing Mum.
