Advantages: having young energy levels to deal with a baby

Disadvantages: giving up your life at such a young age

Well the whole subject of teenage pregnancy is something which I know very little about. I had my first baby aged 32. I had waited until this age because it was only then that I felt truely ready for children. I now know how hard it is to be a mum, and I totally take my hat off to any teenage mums out there. It is hard enough when you have the maturity to deal with the tough times. I don't know how a teenager can manage their way through the first few years. I think back to when I was a teenager, and there is no way I could have ever have managed with a baby. I do think its sad though that so many young ladies are getting pregnant at such a young age intensionaly. If you accidently get pregnant as a teenager, I totally understand. But if you go out to get pregnant, thats the bit I don't get. Bringing a baby into the world is such a big commitment, and to give up all your young years to have a family is quite sad I think. Live a bit first, who knows where life will take you!!
