Twins in generalNewest Review: ... out and about "awww how do you cope" which annoys me so much but i grit my teeth and politely answer with, "the same way anybody else does with 1 baby or more" When firstborn it was such hardwork, with the sleepless nights, they still dont sleep through the night but they have learnt to settle themselves when they get up. Now they are older though it is so much more fun, now they interact with each other, I didnt think they would be that close because they're not identical but they have shocked me it brings tears to my eyes how close they actually are sometimes. They cutch each other and say "awww", after hitti... more |

My twin boys were born November 21st 2007, 9 days early, by elective C-Section weighing 7lb 40z and 7lb 1oz. I had to have a c-section as lower twin was breech. I am a single mum to my boys, who are now nearly 1, and although it is such hardwork i can honestly say I absolutely LOVE it. I often get the same comment when out and about "awww how do you cope" which annoys me so much but i grit my teeth and politely answer with, "the same way anybody else does with 1 baby or more" When firstborn it was such hardwork, with the sleepless nights, they still dont sleep through the night but they have learnt to settle themselves when they ... I had my twin identical daughters on the 16th December 2007, i was extrmely shocked when we went for our twin scan to be told there were 2 little heartbeats. From the moment i found out i just felt so excited i never stopped smiling even though it was unexpected. People kept telling me there was 2 as i was so big from been 6 weeks pregnant but i just thought it was a big baby lol guess its one of those things you never think will happen to you. Im only 20 but this couldnt have happened at a better time, they werent planned though infact quite the opposite i conceived whilst on the pill. But twins are amazing i find it a pleasure every day, yeah it gets tough at times but ... Read the complete review

I fell pregnant with twins at the age of 20 I was very shocked when I had my scan the doctor said to me there's one heartbeat and there's another I was like yeah casually and the doctor said did you hear what I said you're having twins, my mum nearly collapsed. From then on I had a great pregnancy there were a very difficulties near the end but nothing to major, I delivered my daughters nine days before there due date. I had identical girls one was 4lb 10 and the other 6lb 4 so good healthy weights for twins. I got into motherhood straight away but I was very nervous at first as I hadn't even changed a nappy before luckily I had my husband there to help. I found it so ... Read the complete review

From the age of 13 I had decided I wanted twins, quite why I did is beyond me but, I was fortunate and I'm now the very proud mummy of two gorgeous girlies. We found out at 7 weeks as I had to have an early scan, they were already playing havoc with my sciatic nerve. I was ecstatic! From that point onward I read lots of books about raising twins, educating twins, breastfeeding twins etc etc and made myself very aware of all the complications and complexities. Approaching 20 weeks and curious for the sexing scan I had convinced myself that I really wanted one of each sex, then I would know how I felt about having each and could experience being a parent to ... Our twin daughters were born on 8 January 2002 by caesarian section. Lauren weighed 7lb, Rebecca weighed 8lb. They are non-identical twins and they look so different, they could both have different parents! Twins are not unusual, but we did not even consider that there may be 2 little ladies lurking when we first found out my wife was pregnant. As far as we are aware there is no history of twins in our family, and we have researched this. Pregnancy We were both delighted when the pregnancy was confirmed, wandering round with beaming smiles. Vicki looked radiant, and a picture of health. This was not going to last for long! 6 weeks into the ... Read the complete review
