Advantages: They have a best friend forever, you get x2 love.

Disadvantages: Can be expensive and double buggies are a nightmare.

I fell pregnant with twins at the age of 20 I was very shocked when I had my scan the doctor said to me there's one heartbeat and there's another I was like yeah casually and the doctor said did you hear what I said you're having twins, my mum nearly collapsed. From then on I had a great pregnancy there were a very difficulties near the end but nothing to major, I delivered my daughters nine days before there due date. I had identical girls one was 4lb 10 and the other 6lb 4 so good healthy weights for twins. I got into motherhood straight away but I was very nervous at first as I hadn't even changed a nappy before luckily I had my husband there to help. I found it so amazing watching each twin reach each milestones, they both were faster at doing different things like one was better with there words first and the other was better physically first like learning to walk etc. When my girls were young I did find it very tiring as it is a lot to cope with when your partner is at work and the night duties were hard as it needed us both but as they have got older it's got a bit easier(touch wood). One thing I did find hard with having twins was having a double buggy as me being stupid when I got my first buggy went for an expensive one that looked good but didn't actually think about whether it could fit through a doorway properly, from then on I struggled with buggies most doorways aren't made to fit double buggies through so quite often me or my husband would be waiting outside the shop. Now my daughters don't need a buggy so it is great but going shopping is handful as they decide to run in different directions but that's like all kids. I do find it quite a lot harder financially having twins but that's just part of it but it is good when there's deals like buy one get one free on things. My girls are very close and play together all the time they rarely argue which is great and there very caring towards each other, they get on well with other children to, I was a bit worried that they wouldn't as there always together but it has worked out well. Overall I love having twins and wouldn't want to change it for the world.
