So you're expecting twins! How are you feeling? Excited? Nervous? Terrified? The most important thing to remember is that there are no hard and fast rules to raising twins. The suggestions I make here are just that - suggestions. They are things that I found useful during my pregnancy and first year and that you may wish to try. Read all the information you can get your hands on, but ignore any books or people that try and tell you 'the only' way of doing things. I'm not talking about things like hygiene rules which should obviously be obeyed by the letter, but about things like routines - all babies are different and you may have to try a few different pieces ... The best piece of advice I was given after being told I was expecting twins was to join a twins club. Before you have twins you don't really take much notice of families around you & fail to notice all the twins in the town but once you know you are going to be part of a special group of people who have twins or more they seem to be everywhere! There are so many twins in our town & yet there wasn't a meeting group for them. They are both 30+ and when my auntie was pregnant with them she didn't actually find out she was carrying two until she was at least 7 months into her pregnancy. Now though with systems being far more advanced, and there being more ... Read the complete review

Wednesday February 13th. The day had finally come. I was to be induced. I was so relieved that I was not automatically getting a Caesarean. But apparently my local hospital likes to keep their numbers down. We had to be there at 9am, and after a prompt arrival I was taken straight to the Labour Suite in the maternity Department. I did not get any of the cosy rooms I had seen whilst on the antenatal walkabout. I was taken to a room full of machines and equipment. But as I was having twins I had no choice. As complications were more likely, all the bits needed to be to hand. I was glad it had happened this way. I had panicked as to whether I would ... Read the complete review

I am a mum of four children my youngest are twins connor and kieran never did I imagine I would have twins. I was five and a half weeks when I found out I was having twins I imagined no more sleep changing nappies all the time and two crying babies but its great what makes my twins special is they were born at twenty eight weeks and went through a lot to be here today. Now I cant imagine not having them when I first took them out I was so proud of them people would approch me in the street asking if they were twins. At first there seemed to be no bond but when I watch them playing togeather its so amazing the way they interac t dont get me wrong they are very ... Read the complete review
