Advantages: extra money, time to yourself, independence

Disadvantages: unhappy kids sometimes

I am one of the many working mums.I am lucky enough to have now found a job that i really enjoy which fits in with my husbands working hours.

I was beginning to think it wasn't worth the hassle trying to juggle work with two young children as they were misserable at being shipped out to nannas all the time when my partner were both at work.I enjoyed my job but didn't like to see them unhappy (pulled on the heartstrings a bit)but the extra money came in handy for the extras they didn't complain about.

Then the inevitable happened i was made redundant but after a few weeks at home i was getting the itch to go back to work.
It is nice to go out and get together with other people and have a bit of what i call my time.

I heard from a friend that they were looking for staff at her place of work so i went for a look round and a chat and decided to give it a try as the hours fit in nicely with my husbands so there are no more unhappy children as they get to spend precious time with their dad and i have no worries as i leave fo work knowing they are content.

I pick hours to suit, get time out and know the children are well looked after so this works for me.

Iwouldn't want to change things at the moment we are all happy with me being a working mum

Sounds ideal. I work part time too and my daugther goes to her grandparents. I enjoy the time away from her and I know she is well looked after. I think I would go spare if I were at home all day everyday with her. Jo
