Advantages: You get to spend lots of quality time with your children.

Disadvantages: There aren't any.

I am a stay at home mum and I love every minute of it and wouldn't swap it for anything. I was working up until the last stages of my pregnancy and I knew that I wouldn't have been able to go back to work after I had my twins, as I would have been to tired and there is a lot to do when you have a two children. Being honest though I didn't really want to as I didn't want to miss the main stages of them growing up.

I find being a stay at home just as tiring as working as you are constantly tidying up, preparing meals, doing the washing, and they need your attention all the time. I have looked into childcare before but by the time I had paid out childcare fees for two kids it wouldn't really of been worth me working. If our families lived closer to us then I think I would have gone back to work by now as we would have had someone to watch the girls for free and known they were being looked after well. My girls start nursery school in January so I may take up a bit of part time work then; I am just going to see how things go.

I think being a stay at home mum is so rewarding waking up each morning knowing that you get to spend your day with your children. Sometimes we do find it financially difficult with me not working but we get through it, and we know it won't be to long till I am back at work again.

Summary: Overall I love being a stay at home mum and it is so rewarding.
