It's a personal decision (Working Mums vs. Stay at Home Mums)
Member Name: lsajw
Advantages: Women have a lot more choices these days Disadvantages: It's a tough choice that often leaves mums feeling guilty
I think of myself as a bit of both as I only work 3 days a week and so get to spend 2 days with my girls. I think the choice is completely personal to the individual mother. I personally couldn't be a stay at home mum full time as I need to retain the working me. I just feel swallowed up by being a mum being at home full time. Meaning that the girls get a depressed mum who can't give them 100%. When I work part time I really look forward to my two days with them and they get to spend those days with a happy, stree-free mummy (well almost!). Summary: The choice is up to the individual parents at the end of the day |
