Advantages: going back to work for a break!!

Disadvantages: Having to leave your little one.

I think that there are advantages and disadvantages to both sides of this topic. I am a working mum. Well I say that, but I only work 16 hours a week, so I have alot of time at home with my son who is nearly one. I decided to go back to work when he was neary nine months old, even though I could have had a year off from working. My reasons were personal though, as I suffered from postnatal depression, and going back to work was the only thing that saved my sanity!! I can understand that some parents chose not to work as they believe their childs needs are more important. Also I know how hard it is to leave your child with someone else. I had to put my son into nursery as I have no one who can look after him. It was a tough decision, but one which I do not regret for a second. He loves nursery so much, and has developed so quickly as a result of it. I think that it does the children good, as well as the parents.

Summary: A little look at what I chose to do about going back to work.
