The age old question (Working Mums vs. Stay at Home Mums)

This is the all time tricky question and i think it is one that there is no right answer to. I find that either option has its merits.

I am currently on maternity leave and considering my options for returning to work. Whilst i know that i don't want to be at home full time i don't want to be at work full time too! I want a balance where i can work and improve our quality of living - and pay the mortgage but i also wan't to be around to see my daughter growing up.

I think that working three days is going to be my option as then i can have time with her and this will be more focused time rather then having all the time in the world and it then drifting. I am hoping that the time that we spend together will be of more quality.

I think that what ever option you choose someone will have something to say about it - don't they always. I am hoping that i will have good quality time with my daughter and also a focus to the week. For us it isn't really an option as we can't go without the money that i get - but even if this wasn't the case i think for my own sanity i would need to do something before too long and to get some structure for myself. This may seem selfish but a happy mummy makes for a happy baby! People should do what ever feels right for them.
