Advantages: Changed characters, safer now???

Disadvantages: Once a criminal, always a criminal?

The bulger case has risen its head again as the 2 killers reach maturity and become men.
The powers that be in the reform school and the government say that these two lads have now become "model inmates" and everyone is impressed with the progress they have made.
This may be true, but how must the parents of James Bulger be feeling?
He will not be brought back to life just because his killers have made improvements in their life.
At the age of 10, you know not to kidnap children and murder them. You know exactly what you are doing. I remember being 10 and ideas like that never entered my head and still dont today. If you are thinking like that at that age, you must be mentally unstable or criminally insane.
The safest thing for all concerned would be to make them part of a rellocation programme.
Otherwise, a lynch mob attitude is being threatened and could turn nasty. Bulgers father has already vowed to track them down.
We must also think of how the parents of these 2 boys have suffered. They mmust be grieving too because in one respect, they too have lost a son.

I was the same age as them when they killed Jamie and I agree completely with you - THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING!!!

Children are taught the difference between right and wrong(most schoolchildren shoplift for the "buzz"..as they know it shouldnt be done) The two boys knew what they were doing, perhaps they didnt mean it to go as far as they did and passed the point of no return, however they did do wrong and should be punished. In the correction centre they have no choice but to behave and of course they will reform as they cannot get into trouble the way they did outside. Their parents have lost a child BUT they have visitaion rights, something the Bulgers dont have. Although I would like doing to them what they did to James that would then make me as bad as them, what is justice these days and who decides?
