When we had our first, a lot of people told us about the many countless nights that we could expect, and to be honest, I wasnt truely expecting the full realisation of the matter. I didnt know a baby could cry so much for so long. I cant count the amount of times during the night we had to get up. In the begining, our baby was a terrible sleeper, and we were seriously were going to reconsider keeping him our bedroom. In the end, we came to the conclusion that we would make a nursey, and put a bed in it for us, that way, we could take it in turns to sleep with the baby, and when he cryed, we could take care of him, that way, at least one of us would get a good nights sleep.


We then came up with a routine. He would have a nap in the morning and again in the afternoon, and if I am honest, it didnt seem to work, but after a couple of weeks, it seemed to do the trick, and he soon started to sleep well during the night.
