Nowadays most British households consume a lot of pasta and De Cecco pasta are probably the very best dry pasta you can get in this country. The Linguine are available in most supermarkets along with one or 2 other shapes. We never buy spaghetti these days, we always buy these linguine. I know the difference is minimal in terms of shape, (the linguine are flatter and the spaghetti are rounder), but it does seem to transform a good old spag bol into something more refined and sophisticated! My friend once bought this pasta when I was in Tescos with her as she was making us tea that night. Her Italian friend had recommended it and said it was the closest thing to authentic pasta we have in the shops. I looked forward to tasting it! The linguine comes in a blue and yellow plastic wrapper and it costs £1.56 from Tescos. You can also buy this pasta from other supermarkets like Morrisons and Asda. There are also other types of pasta as well such as Fusilli and Spagetti. After being diagnosed with IBS many years ago, I found bread/ milk and pasta to trigger my symptoms so ended up avoiding these foods like the plague- despite the fact lasagne is my all time favourite food. After moving in with Mr Norton, who likes to cook pasta dishes and spaghetti based dishes quite a lot, I found we were buying pasta every month and it was always hit or miss whether I would be doubled up in agony for four hours with stomach pains after I had eaten it.
