==Overview==

I started buying these noodles from Sainsbury's many years ago when they were free on a Slimming World Green Day. I don't think they are free any more but I still buy them because they are cheap and I like them. The noodles are 28p per packet and come in a range of flavours, my favourite being prawn or chicken, neither of which taste like prawn or chicken. You add 1/2 pint of boiling water to the noodles and bubble them away in a pan for a few minutes until all the liquid has gone. The noodles come with a small, square foil packet in them (just the seasoning folks, don't think it's your lucky night!) which you shake over the noodles prior to adding the water. If you don't add the seasoning, you get plain noodles which is what I sometimes do if we only have chicken curry flavour left in because I don't like them (husband does which is why we have them).

==My opinion==

Nutrition wise they are horrendous! I looked out of interest and they have 300 cals per packet. I would have a packet as a snack or lunch but often have two packets as one just isn't filling enough, now I know they are 600 cals per 2 packs I may think again! I find the noodles handy to have in the cupboard as they are a really quick yet unhealthy meal which can come in handy when you find yourself short of time or forgotten to get something out of the freezer. I have cooked them in the past with a chinese glaze sauce and some Bernard Matthew's turkey chunks to make it feel like much more of a healthy nutritious meal but who am I kidding!

I'm really surprised to see that they aren't a big hit in some of the other reviews, the noodles are thinner than the Batchelor's super noodles but I really like them like that. They cook quickly and are 28p per packet (used to be sub-20p so have gone up with inflation - what hasn't!). I personally think they taste fine, they aren't thick Udon-style noodles but thin and tasty as far as I'm concerned. The flavours are only slightly flavoured and the chicken doesn't taste particularly chickeny but it doesn't bother me as I could happily eat them without the seasoning. I'm now mostly worried about the calorie content and would think again about having two packets in the future.

==Overall==

For the price, I think they taste great, not very nutritious and full of calories but every once in a while I think they are a yummy meal that I could eat without anything else, thereby saving a few pennies.

Summary: Love these, stock up!
