SAINSBURY'S RAVIOLI (IN TOMATO SAUCE).

Sometimes i fancy a change from beans or tomatoes on my toast, so picked up a couple of cans of Sainsbury's Ravioli in my local store.

The Can**********

You will ned to use a can opener on this can, as it doesnt have a pull back ring can, mind you i myself personally dont like the pull backed ringed cans purely because i cut myself once, and find it easier to use an electric can opener ( yes i know thats cheeting) but it makes life a little quicker and easier for myself, now back to the can. It is Recycyable, so thats a good thing.

It costs 33p, and it has a label on the front with Sainsbury's Ravioli written in white against a Blue background, and comes in its own tomato sauce. It is Pasta filled with meat, its kind of minced up ,minced meat of some sort, and i do like this particular brand, cheap but still ok.

I did think that the tomato sauce could have been a bit thicker, but it wasnt too spicy or bland, like some of the other supermarkets cheaper brands i have tried.

The Pasta Squares were ok, not too thick and the filling wasnt at all bad, did feel that the sauce could have been a little better just a little bit more thicker, but other than that it was nice pasta.

I had some on a slice of Tiger Bread toasted, and a whole tin easily serves two people.

I sometimes use Ravioli to add with a plate of Fishfingers and Chips, when cooking for my grandchildren a snack lunchtime meal, as i think it makes a change from beans, and for other obvious reasons.

Yes not bad, i have had the real Ravioli in an Italian Resturant and thats a meal in itself, but these cans of ravioli arnt bad, and i will be buying them again.

The Cooking **********

Of course you can cook this the old fashioned way in a saucepan on the hob, or just pop into the mircrowave for five minutes.

My Tip ********** Be careful to cover the dish with cling film, if you dont want bits to spit up and mess your mircrowave up, makes for easier cooking a bit of the old cling film.

Thanks for reading and rating my reviews, i will only be rating this a four golden stars because i think they could improve the sauce a little bit.

Summary: saves you a little bit of money.
