This rice comes out really soft and fluffy. I've had this lots of times, and never once found any of the rice undercooked or too sticky or anything. It's absolutely first class where the consistency is concerned.
Taste wise, you couldn't ask for a cleaner, mildly flavoured rice to go with your curry. It's especially nice when you serve it with a tikka or with bombay potato in my opinion, as I find the sauces from those go especially nice with the flavour of this rice....more

Tesco Pilau Rice represents outstanding value for money in my book. I'm quite pleased with a lot of the Tesco Indian and Chinese foods in general, but this is more than just okay - it's brilliant. This stuff costs 99p if you buy it in a 270g pot, or £1.79 if you buy a 500g pot. There's not too much difference in price per gram there so you can happily buy the pot size to suit you.
