Advantages: Only 8p!
Disadvantages: Contain lots of salt
We all need a few extra pennies sometimes and when you hit the supermarket looking for own brands you're usually disappointed with the taste and go back to your usual more expensive brand pretty quickly, but not with these noodles.
Price: These noodles are only 8p per packet! There are other flavours available and some of these are 9p, which still is an amazing price. Especially if you're just looking for a cheap lunch or snack as a student! They're basically a cheap, less tasty version of Super Noodles, but when Super Noodles are 70p- 80p a packet you can't really complain.
Cooking Method: The noodes come plain and the little sachet of flavouring comes separately for you to put in, all you have to do is put the noodles in the saucepan, cover with water and then sprinkle in the sachet of chicken flavoured powder. It doesn't look too tasty yet but if you bring it to the boil and leave it to simmer for a couple of minutes they're done and don't look too bad at all, how easy is that?!
Taste and Appearance: They don't look too bad, the same as any other brand of instant noodles, the smell of these noodles is really nice, they smell really chickeny. The taste of them isn't so good, it's perfectly edible though and does taste slightly of chicken and I think a little salty. There isn't a huge amount in the packet so don't expect to be full after this but they're quite nice with some crusty bread to mop up all the chicken flavouring, they are only intended for a light lunch or snack though and at 8p a packet you can't really complain.
Nutrition: When I looked on the packet I realised why I could taste salt, at 3.3 grams they contain half of your recommended daily allowence of salt! They also have 450 calories so you don't want to be eating these too often!
Overall: These noodles are a great cheap snack and I would recommend them to anyone on a budget. However, they do have a added a lot of salt as they've tried to cut costs as far as creating flavour is concerned, they don't taste too bad though and are worth more than you pay for them!
Summary: great for anyone watching the pennies, definately recommended
