The sauce it's self wasn't very good, it didn't have a lot of flavour and had a horrid consistency. The pasta strips were surrounded by so much sauce that is they were just wet and didn't work. Unfortunately since the last reviews for the lasagne, Tesco have changed the recipe. This may have been forgivable if the new recipe was at least similar to the old one however the new arrangement is absolutely awful. Today I decided to try the new Tesco's lasagne. Having enjoyed the former recipe in the past I thought I was in for a treat. As it happened the monstrosity I brought home was thrown out after the first few bites. I have tried a few vegetarian lasagne dishes, since giving up meat seven years ago and have always been very disappointed with them. Not one of them has lived up to the original meat variety I used to eat - until now! Tesco Vegetarian Lasagne is absolutely gorgeous, so much so, that I have bought it two weeks in a row. Tesco Vegetarian Lasagne comes in a black plastic tray, which is sealed with a thin film of plastic. This is then covered with a cardboard sleeve, which now looks quite different from the one pictured above. This is basically a ready made 450gms lasagna dish of sheets layered with soya chunks chopped(vegemince) in thick tomato sauce bubbling with white cheesy sauce. This caught my eyes as I was frantically hunting for something new to try on my more hetic days. packaging: ------------ Well this really inspires you to snatch it off the shelf and put it into your trolley with the promise of its being on the table at the next meal and has instructions presicely written.
