Unfortunately since the last reviews for the lasagne, Tesco have changed the recipe.
This may have been forgivable if the new recipe was at least similar to the old one however the new arrangement is absolutely awful.

Today I decided to try the new Tesco's lasagne. Having enjoyed the former recipe in the past I thought I was in for a treat. As it happened the monstrosity I brought home was thrown out after the first few bites.

Normally vegetable lasagnes will at least attempt to replicate a mince. Be that quorn or even lentils, however this one completely left this out. It was basically a slop of sauce leaving no structural integrity and nothing to absorb the flavours.

The sauce it's self wasn't very good, it didn't have a lot of flavour and had a horrid consistency.

The pasta strips were surrounded by so much sauce that is they were just wet and didn't work.

The roasted vegetables were a mixture of peppers, mushrooms and courgettes. I can't stand peppers and mushrooms, so even if everything else had been perfect I would have probably found myself disliking the lasagne. That said, normally if ingredients I dislike crop up, I will just pick them out. In this abomination of a dish it just further ruined the meal.

Finally was the white sauce of top. I find it hard to describe, it was just so dislikeable. The old lasagne had a creamy delicious topping, but this has a slimy tasteless liquid running over the top pasta, on it was a brown skin and some pepper floating in it.

It was basically a boiling hot box full of tomato sauce, vegetables I didn't like, over cooked pasta and topped with a cheap white liquid with a skin on in.
It was really disgusting and I wouldn't recommend it.
