Compaq Mobile CD Unit includes Quad-Speed CD-ROM Drive and enhanced stereo speakers with Compaq PremierSound for demanding multimedia applications; also includes MIDI/Joystick port and Wave Table Synthesis. This device supports simultaneous use of diskette, CD-ROM and hard drive and provides additional bay for housing another LiIon battery; with the Mobile CD Unit and the notebook combined, up to three batteries can be supported for up to 10 hours of battery life.
