The Rack 7122 is a 19" industry-standard rack that provides an enclosure for rack-mountable products and has a height capacity of 22U (38 1/2 in). Conforms to the Electronics Industry Association (EIA 310-D) standard for 19-inch racks, allowing maximum flexibility and convenience by supporting a wide variety of standard rack-mountable components. A fully welded steel frame and heavier weight deliver ultimate rigidity and stability. Lexan Plexiglas front and rear door panels provide visibility of components for status monitoring from a distance. Both doors are ventilated, allowing air to circulate and control temperatures. In addition, both doors are equipped with keyed locks to avoid unauthorized access. The Rack 7142 has a sophisticated coupling mechanism that uses rails and bolts to maximize stability in coupled configurations. Also included is a dust strip to keep your equipment clean. The new web-based Compaq Rack Builder Pro configuration tool allows you to predetermine your equipment needs and plan space prior to ordering your system. Using Rack Builder Pro you can stimulate and actual rack or multi-rack installation. Upon completion of your stimulated installation, Rack Builder Pro generates comprehensive reports detailing site planning data, rack "U" space, power requirements, ordering information and a graphic of your customized installation.
